Off the Bookshelf: SIX MOON SUMMER, by S.M. Reine

Seasons of the Moon, Book 1

Rylie braces for the worst summer of her life, as her parents are going through a divorce and she gets sent to summer camp against her will. She's rebellious and hurting, and even worse, the snotty rich girls set out to torment her from the start. When she tries to run away, she gets lost and attacked by a wild animal, blacking out from the pain.

She wakes in her own cabin and cot, with no idea how she got back there, and with only a strange scar, no fatal injuries. That is just the start of her mystery. Seth, a boy from the camp across the lake shows up to make friends with her and help her, very much against the rules, and the two struggle to help her control and hopefully defeat the changes happening in her body and her mind.

Rylie's hopes crash when she learns Seth has been lying to her, and someone who should be protecting her is out to destroy her. Her last chance to defeat the animal inside her hangs in the balance when she needs the beast to save Seth's life, but giving in could condemn her forever.
